We are a small, welcoming retreat created for travellers who wish to spend their holiday immersed in nature and truly slow down.

You will not find televisions in the rooms. We believe in the beauty of silence, in genuine conversations, and in the changing light of the air at sunset.
Instead, you will find thoughtfully cared-for spaces, a gentle rhythm, and the pleasure of feeling genuinely welcomed.

The Farm is all about encounters. Breakfasts and dinners are shared around the same table, with guests arriving from all over the world, in a simple and convivial atmosphere.

Food is an essential part of our story.
Loris prepares creative dishes with care and imagination, offering guests a shared dining experience that is both surprising and deeply comforting.

Our Story

La Fattoria delle Tartarughe was born in 2007 from the meeting of Marco, a zoologist with a deep passion for animals and plants, and Loris, a former banker, Pilates and fitness instructor, accidental farmer and passionate cook.

From their shared vision came a special place where people, plants and animals live together in harmony.

Relaxation and enjoyment go hand in hand with small, responsible actions that do not disturb natural balances. On an island like Sardinia, where water scarcity is a real concern, this means using water and air conditioning thoughtfully, respecting animals and their rhythms, and welcoming the absence of televisions and electronic devices in the rooms as an opportunity.

By reducing our environmental footprint, we leave space for a different kind of imprint: the one a holiday can leave within us, when it is lived in harmony with the beauty of the place—and, ultimately, with ourselves.”  ( Marco and Loris).

Here, conviviality and silence coexist. Nature reveals itself in many forms: flowers, plants, animals, a cork oak woodland where you can walk without leaving the property, proximity to some of the most beautiful beaches in southern Sardinia, and the nearby Monte dei Sette Fratelli, perfect for hiking.

Alongside nature, guests can also explore archaeological sites and the city of Cagliari, rich in history, culture and atmosphere.
